Message And everything I've read indicates that this problem can cause the timing to jump around a little bit and wear out CASs, and cause the timing to advance or retard as much as 6-8 crank degrees (as indicated in the PDF). The timing is completely stable, just indicated ~40 degrees off.
On top of that, the engine was replaced before I bought it.
